Rye Wilderness Preserve & Campground

Hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing canoeing and camping are just a few of the thing you can do at Rye Wilderness Preserve. The park is a 145 acre property located northwest of the Lake Manatee Dam.

You can see some of Manatee County's early pioneer history by walking down the trail and visiting the Historic Rye Family Cemetery.

Camping is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is a fee. Camping registration is at the Rangers Station from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Call (941) 776-0900. The address is 905 Rye Wilderness Trail. Parrish, Florida.

Directions: Take I-75 to the SR 64 (Manatee Avenue) East exit. Continue on SR 64 to Rye Road. Turn left onto Rye Road and continue north. After crossing the Rye Bridge, make an immediate right and drive into Rye Preserve.
