The Humane Society of Sarasota County is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation, and relies on community funding to pursue its mission of promoting responsible pet ownership and securing permanent homes for all adoptable animals. HSSC provides abandoned pets with compassionate care and shelter, offers pet adoptions, humane education, affordable spay/neuter services and programs for children, seniors and those with special needs.
