The following information regarding scholarships being offered by the Sarasota Garden Club is for college and high school students:

The Sarasota Garden Club is offering two Natural Science Scholarships.



NATURAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

There is a $2000 Scholarship being offered to a senior at any North Sarasota High School. This is double the value of last year’s scholarship. The student must have a 3.0 grade point average and is planning to enter an accredited college or university next fall. The student must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Sarasota. The applicant should be interested in one of the many fields of natural science.



NATURAL SCIENCE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

There is a $4000 Natural Science Scholarship being offered to a college student of academic excellence (3.0 or above), who is interested in a degree in natural science or its related fields. This is double the value of last year’s scholarship. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, a two year resident of Sarasota County, and have completed at least two years of study. The applicant must be finishing their sophomore year, or above, at an accredited college or university in the United States.

Deadline for both scholarship applications is April 1, 2015. For more information or an application call the Sarasota Garden Club, 941- 955 - 0875, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Applications can also be obtained at the Sarasota Garden Club website: sarasotagardenclub.org
