Smack was the brain child of "Mack" Walter T. McDonald, no relation to Ray Kroc or the famous McDonald's Hamburgers of today. Mack bought out the Ducky Wucky hamburger stand located on Main St. and Pine Ave to start his business in 1932. In the 1950's Smack boasted of being "Florida's largest and most popular drive-in restaurant," and featured TELETRAY a two-way radio ordering system. Hot Rod Cruisers and Daddy-O's could enjoy .50 cent burgers and, if they were really lucky, maybe some "back seat bingo." Come on snake, let’s rattle!
